Raise The Bar will showcase the most talented hip-hop artists in our community, from local teens to nationally acclaimed artists like Macklemore!

Doors Open for general admission at 8:00 pm
Program starts at 8:30 pm - featuring performances, thought-provoking content, and generosity!
Afterparty starts at 10:00 with tunes spun by DJ Blue Suede

Every dollar of the proceeds will go directly to supporting The Residency's innovative approach to developing young artists and emerging leaders. You will have the opportunity to win unique raffle items and experiences, and to donate directly to support the team, artists, and programs that give young artists the tools they need to make their dreams happen.

The Residency launched in July 2015 as a collaboration between the Museum of Pop Culture, Arts Corps, and Grammy award-winning artists Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

Since then, we have built a talented team of artists and educators who have helped The Residency quickly become the preeminent training ground for the next generation of artists poised to leave a lasting mark on Seattle’s growing music industry. This community of artists cares deeply about young people and their place in the broader community by creating a platform for creative expression and leadership development. We believe in the power of creativity to bridge divides, build relationships, and strengthen our communities.

We foster these values through programs that develop young artists and leaders across disciplines. The Raise the Bar event was created to unite people in celebration of hip-hop's transformational power to do just that!
