I talk a lot about what CCA means to me, but this time, I want to share about my kids.
Jack started at CCA in 2nd grade and is now in high school. While the activities aren’t like public school, he chooses to stay. He’s tried robotics, basketball, theater, and art. This semester, he’s reading The Count of Monte Cristo after loving Dante’s Inferno. He was nominated for student council, leads the morning announcements with his sharp wit, and has navigated middle school and life’s challenges with close school friends by his side.
Joey begged to start Kindergarten at CCA, though he was so shy he whispered to his teacher and she would talk to his classmates for him for weeks. Now a 6th grader, he recently played Jesus in a skit at chapel and still counts his Kindergarten best friend as his closest buddy. Those friendships has helped him find the courage to act in front of the whole school.
Julie joined CCA at 2.5 years old because I needed a job and CCA needed a teacher. She’s been surrounded by teachers who have known her since she was a wee girl who love her deeply. Though reading has been a struggle, she’s never been made to feel less than—and now, in 2nd grade, she’s reading A Little Princess!
