Our organization remains a leader in creating safe, affordable, permanent housing in Northern New Jersey.  Your support will go toward our programs and services that help working families become first-time homeowners.  Looking ahead to 2024, we plan to expand services geared toward assisting homeowners to preserve their homes.  Our services will include post-purchase support and education for new homeowners and financial counseling services for residents at risk of foreclosure and eviction.

Founded in 1992, the Housing Partnership, a nonprofit organization, located in Dover, New Jersey, has been the resource for home buyer education and programs in Northern NJ. Presently, we serve residents of Morris, Bergan, Essex, Hudson, Passaic, Sussex, Union, and Warren counties. Our education, counseling services, and special financing programs have changed the lives of families and communities. Our workshops and one-on-one counseling, offered in English and Spanish, have been the first step for over 1,000 families in their homeownership journeys. Our clients represent over $99 million in real estate investments in the region. Our organization is a HUD-approved counseling agency and a charter member of NeighborWorks America.

Specific examples of our commitment to our target population include (1) offering our workshops and marketing materials in Spanish, conducting aggressive outreach efforts in under-resourced communities (e.g. local supermarkets, public school events, post offices), and throughout the year hosting workshops on a range of fair housing topics. We are leaders in our region, and as such our executive director currently serves on the Morris County Fair Housing Committee and our staff enthusiastically participates in many community events to provide information regarding homeownership, credit counseling, financial literacy, and various affordable homeownership opportunities.
