Celebrating 25 Years of Opening Doors for Unhoused Youth

Tonight, a young person in San Diego County will reach out for help. Maybe they aged out of foster care. Maybe they're sleeping in a car, or on a friend's couch, running out of options. For 25 years, Doors of Change has answered that call.

Since 2001, we've transformed the lives of unhoused youth, one young person at a time. Through 24/7 personalized case management, we become the first trusted adult many of these youth have ever had. We respond to crises within 2 hours, because youth are 95% more likely to accept help when someone reaches them in that window.

And it works.

Last year, permanent housing placements jumped 122%, from 27 youth to 60. Over the past five years, more than 8,000 young people have connected with our outreach team. Every door we open leads to safety, stability, and opportunity. ✨
