If you would like to help us start a non-profit to contribute to Code Wiz and other education around safe and responsible computer coding and internet use, please consider contributing to SCC. We truly believe STEM is for everyone and partnerships with other non-profit and retail STEM education programs is crucial to proper development of our kids technology use today and into their future careers.

If we do not meet our initial objectives, we will issue refunds or donate to another local STEM non-profit initiative.

Byte Builders, LLC (of Oklahoma) is the founder and primary sponsor of the SAFE Coders collaboration – SC2 (as in squared). SCC is a community dedicated to safe coding. We aim to ensure families have resources and safe practices as they grow in their coding skills at Code Wiz, and beyond.

Our observation and experience has been that internet safety and responsibility is a topic that is not covered well in school or most homes. To bridge that gap we will collaborate with local tech organizations to bring relevant topics to our coders and families.

Areas of focus are:

Home Computing – building and maintaining PCs – Owasso Computer Repair
Cyber Security – protecting those we love – The Hacker Files
Safe Gaming and Apps – why rules protect us all
Artificial Intelligence and automations – please use responsibly
Coding career opportunities
Computing education paths

We are looking for local (Tulsa-area) partners who are dedicated to this mission and want to come visit with our families. We are looking for partners and sponsors to help us build a social connection as part of our events (pizza, giveaways). We are looking to schedule events around our camp weeks, and perhaps Parent’s Night Out program, as well as our robotics program. Programming available as partnerships and content are established. We did provide 2 events in June and July 2024.
