Karl and I both have this stubborn thing called anxiety, but we don’t like admitting to it or showing it. We prefer to hide it through hard work, pushing past the hard stuff as quickly as possible, and some good old-fashioned Norwegian stoicism. Everything is fine! We’re learning together the importance of taking it slow, appreciating the present moment, sitting with uncomfortable feelings, and expressing how we truly feel. It’s easy to push people away with anxiety and carry burdens by ourselves, but we’re working on changing that every day. Taking a break with some good food and friends is just as important. Our Swedish neighbors are really onto something with Fika.
By supporting Karl, you're helping people transform and grow in occupational therapy AND mental health settings with the aid of a steadfast therapy horse. Karl is a rock for clients, whether they need a smooth ride or a shoulder to cry on.
P.S. If you're wondering what the horse's name in Frozen is, it's Sitron. We get asked that a lot.
