Back To School Backpacks and Supplies

Let's Equip 1,000 Kids for Success This School Year - Your Support Matters!

Hello! My name is Bryce and I'm entering my last year of high school along with my brother, Blake who is entering middle school this year, we are the proud founders of Urban Scholars for the Community, Inc. This non-profit was created from our deep belief that every child, no matter their background, should have the same opportunity to start the school year ready and excited. Every child should be able to open a fresh backpack filled with all the pencils, notebooks, and other school supplies they need to have a great year.

That's why every summer for the past four years, we aim to give students new backpacks filled with school supplies. With each of these packs, we’re not just giving supplies; we're giving confidence, a sense of equality, and a strong start to the academic year. It's amazing how something so simple can make such a big difference.

This year, our goal is to raise $6,000 by August 15, 2023, to purchase 500 backpacks and school supply kits. With this, we can help 500 students start the school year off on the right foot. Each backpack kit, filled with essentials like notebooks, pens, pencils, and more.

We know that businesses and individuals like yours understand the importance of education and community support. That’s why we're writing to you today to ask for your help in reaching our goal. A contribution from you will directly support purchasing these much-needed supplies.

Here's how your donation can help:

  • A $55 donation will provide 5 students with backpack kits.
  • A $110 donation will provide 10 students with backpack kits.
  • A $550 donation will provide 50 students with backpack kits.

Any amount you can contribute would be incredibly appreciated and would make a real, tangible difference in the lives of these kids. In recognition of your support, we'd be happy to include your business's name/logo on our website and at our backpack distribution events.

If you're interested in supporting our cause, please let us know and we'll share further information on how you can make your donation. Thank you for considering our request, and for helping us to provide an equal start for all students this coming school year.

Please note, we have submitted our IRS tax exemption application, however, at this time, we have not received approval as of yet, therefore, your donation will not be considered a tax deduction. However, if we receive our tax exempt status before year end, you will be allowed to claim your donation.

Let’s change lives one backpack at a time!

Best Regards,
