Support Mental Health Education—Now is the Time to Make a Difference
Mental health affects us all, yet 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year, and over 50% of people with mental health conditions don’t receive the care they need. Access to mental health education and resources is critical—but for many, these tools remain out of reach.
We’re passionate about changing that by offering free, interactive mental health workshops at the Louisville Free Public Library. Starting March 5th, we’re hosting 32 workshops, providing valuable skills for communication, suicide prevention and emotional wellness at no cost to participants.
The time to act is now. Donate today to help break stigmas, build resilience, and strengthen our community. Together, we can make mental health resources accessible to all.

Week 1: The Mental Health Ally Mindset
What it means to be a mental health ally and why it matters.
Week 2: Communication that Heals
Empathy, validation, and stress-reducing tools.
Special Kitchen Session: Nourishing Communication – Cooking together as a way to build connection and lower stress.
Week 3: Safety & Suicide Prevention
Practical steps to support someone in crisis.
Week 4: Refilling Your Own Cup
Self-care practices that last.
Special Kitchen Session: Self-Care in the Kitchen – Simple meals that boost mood and energy.
*For libraries with a kitchen, we’re also offering hands-on nutrition sessions that integrate cooking as a way to foster connection and enhance self-care. (This has been a patron request for the last two years!)
