Help Reopen the Lived Experiences Community Center

For years, the Lived Experiences Community Center has provided free food assistance, youth mentoring, workforce development, mental health resources, laundry services, and family support to thousands of Oceanside residents. No one has ever been turned away because they couldn't pay.

Today, our doors are closed—not because our community doesn't need us, but because of costly permitting requirements.

The City of Oceanside has approved millions of dollars in tax incentives for private businesses and large developments because it believes those projects benefit the community. We believe nonprofits that provide life-changing services at no cost deserve that same investment. Reducing permit costs for community-serving nonprofits would allow organizations like ours to spend more resources serving people instead of paying fees.

Your donation will help cover permit fees, inspections, and required building improvements so we can reopen our doors and resume providing free services to children, families, seniors, veterans, and individuals in need.
