Emergency Financial Assistance Program
At the Greater Community AIDS Project of East Central Illinois, we believe everyone deserves access to the resources they need to live a healthy and fulfilling life. However, many people living with HIV/AIDS in our community face unexpected financial hardships that can threaten their well-being and disrupt essential medical care.
This is where our Emergency Financial Assistance Program steps in.
This program provides critical support to individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS who are facing immediate financial challenges. Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, we can help prevent:
- Power shut-offs: Keeping the lights on is essential for maintaining medication storage, refrigeration, and overall well-being.
- Evictions: Stable housing is crucial for managing a chronic illness like HIV/AIDS.
- Missed medical appointments: Transportation assistance ensures people can access life-saving medical care.
- Diaper and formula shortages: For families with children born exposed to HIV, these essentials are vital.
Every dollar you donate directly impacts someone in our community.
Here's how your contribution can make a difference:
- $25: Helps cover the cost of a meal card, ensuring clients have access to healthy, nutritious food
- $60: Provides an annual bus pass so clients are able to attend medical appointments.
- $100: Gives diapers and formula to a child born exposed to HIV
- $200: Can prevent a power shut-off and ensure a safe living environment.
- $500: Provides 14 days of emergency shelter for unhoused clients
100% of your earmarked donation goes directly to support our Emergency Financial Assistance Program. Your generosity empowers individuals living with HIV/AIDS to maintain crucial medical care and live a healthy life.
