MISSION STATEMENT We inspire and educate those who respond to gender-based violence, equipping them with the knowledge and tools they need to support victims and hold perpetrators accountable. We promote victim-centered, multi-disciplinary collaboration, which strengthens the response of the criminal justice system, other professionals, allies, and the general public - making communities safer. The purpose of this conference is to focus on violence and crimes against women such as sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, human trafficking, and abuse to highlight promising practices and emerging issues to effectively respond to these crimes in all of our communities. The annual conferences focus on sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, human trafficking and Justice for victims of abuse. We bring together law enforcement personnel, prosecutors, victim advocates, judges, parole and probation officers, rape crisis workers, health care professionals, faith community members, educators, researchers and others in this three-day conference highlighting promising practices and emerging issues to effectively respond to these crimes in all of our communities. Crimes such as rape and sexual assault, domestic abuse, forced marriage, stalking, harassment, and digital crimes including cyber-flashing, revenge porn and up-skirting are taking place every day. Advancements have been made to tackle offences that disproportionately affect women and girls, but there are still too many instances of victims and survivors being let down. A must attend for police, criminal justice advocates, victim advocates, local authorities, education providers, health, housing, social care and the third sector, you’ll hear from a lineup of experts and practitioners who will address the need to strengthen joint working between organizations to effectively address Violence Against Women Conference issues. Our speakers will cover a range of issues and offer solutions that can be adapted and utilized in your own communities. 200 N Shary Rd, Mission, TX 78572, USA
