The Ruth Collective is a compassionate and dynamic non-profit dedicated to empowering individuals to access vital reproductive and gender-affirming healthcare, particularly when travel out-of-state is required. We will achieve this by building and mobilizing a nationwide network of dedicated volunteers, known as "Ruth," who will provide a comprehensive continuum of support, assisting with crucial travel arrangements like transportation and safe lodging, offering trauma-informed companionship, and helping navigate the practicalities of their journey.

Our mission is deeply rooted in a commitment to bodily autonomy, social justice, and creating safe, equitable access to healthcare for all. We believe that by addressing the holistic, practical needs of individuals in their most vulnerable moments, we can foster resilience, promote healing, and ensure no one is denied essential care due to geographic or systemic barriers.

Pending 501(c)(3) Status: We have applied for federal tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our application is currently pending with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Tax Deductibility: As our 501(c)(3) status is not yet finalized, your donation to The Ruth Collective is not currently tax-deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.
Future Tax Deductibility: Should the IRS approve our 501(c)(3) application, the approval may be retroactive to the date we filed our application. In that event, your donation may become tax-deductible. We will notify donors if and when our 501(c)(3) status is approved, and we will provide the necessary documentation for your tax records at that time. However, we cannot guarantee that the IRS will approve our application or that the approval will be retroactive.
