Meet Callie — the sweetest calico you’ll ever meet, and a cat who has endured more than her fair share of pain.

She lived as a local stray, cared for by a kind neighbor who fed her daily. Then one day, Callie disappeared. For five long days, she was nowhere to be found. When she finally returned, she was dragging her back leg — clearly suffering and unable to stand the pain.

That same good Samaritan scooped her up and rushed her to us for help.

Our team acted immediately. From the extent and nature of her injury, it was clear that someone had intentionally harmed her. The damage was unlike anything we had seen before.

We tried everything to save her leg. We invested thousands in nerve regeneration therapy, hopeful she could regain function — but nothing worked. The heartbreaking truth is that amputation is now the only way to give Callie the pain-free life she deserves. It will improve her quality of life… but it will also leave deep holes in our pockets.
