Support the Camp Desi Roots Scholarship Fund - Fund a Camper!

My name is Prerna Srivastava, and I am a former Philly elementary school principal and NYC high school teacher, and now proud founder of Camp Desi Roots,.

Camp Desi Roots is a transformative summer program dedicated to empowering South Asian youth by fostering a strong sense of identity, community, and belonging. Our camps offer a unique blend of storytelling, outdoor adventure, and cultural immersion, with the vision of creating a space where South Asian youth can connect deeply with themselves and each other.

We strongly believe that our camps should be accessible to all South Asian kids, regardless of their financial means or background. For next year's camp, our goal is to fully fund 20 campers who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford the camp, or $35,000 (this funding would cover campers' accommodations, meals, and programmatic costs for the whole week).

We believe in the power of Camp Desi Roots - please help us make it a reality for all South Asian kids this upcoming year!

We are a non-profit organization in the process of finalizing our 501(c)3 status. When our application is approved, your donation will be retroactively tax deductible. Our tax ID number is 41-3816626.
