Sarah Major Lodge has been at the heart of Camp Mack since 1925. It has changed a lot over the years and has had many people visit its cozy spaces by Waubee Lake. Sarah Major Lodge has provided a special place for people of all ages to gather to worship, craft and quilt, gain friendships, find peace by the lake, rest, play, and eat. It has hosted groups like Culinary Camp, Mother Daughter Retreat, Quilt Retreat, Samplers Camp, Grand Camp, and so many others, including beloved rental groups.

Unfortunately, after many great years of use, the flooring and furniture in Sarah Major Lodge is falling apart. Carpet needs to be replaced. Stackable chairs and tables need to be replaced. And, further work on the flooring and furniture needs attention, as well. Without these upgrades, Sarah Major Lodge will be unable to provide a comfortable, fresh, and safe place of renewal along Waubee Lake. This will all provide the groundwork for future guest experiences at Camp Mack.

A refreshed Sarah Major Lodge would give retreat guests and campers a welcoming space to grow their community, renew their spirit, and enhance their faith.

Saturday, May 28th is Camp Mack's 7th annual Giving Day with the goal of raising $18,000 to fund these much-needed renovations. Generous early donors have supported the beginnings of this project with $13,000, and a recent generous donor is providing a matching gift of up to $10,000. So, your gift will go even further! With the initial funds, the matching gift, and the $18,000 goal, that will cover carpet replacement, new stackable chairs and tables for the meeting spaces, and will allow for further flooring and furnishing improvements needed in the space.
