I started working with Camp Encouragement 5 years ago because I believed in the mission. To see the sparkle come back in the eyes of grieving children is EVERYTHING! Whether the loss is due to violence, natural causes, divorce, prison or something else, these children deserve to smile again. I have watched the children pet zoo animals, learn to play chess, do yoga, launch balloons in memory of their loved ones, and so much more. They meet new friends, bond with therapists, come out of their shells, learn and grow. My goal is to raise enough money to fund one camper for the entire 2-week camp this year. Will you help me make a difference in that young camper's life?
