Hey y'all! My name is Tacocat and I am a counselor at Camp Kaleidoscope this year!
Camp Kaleidoscope is registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based out of the San Francisco Bay Area. We are a community driven by passionate college student leaders that hosts a free week-long sleepaway camp for children who have or had a parent with cancer.
I joined Kaleidoscope because I deeply understand what our campers are going through. Having lost my mother to cancer, and watching my younger brother find joy and connection as a Kaleidoscope camper over the years, I know firsthand how transformative this space can be for families like ours.
Camp is truly a magical place where kids can just be kids, surrounded by others who understand their experiences. The genuine connections, shared vulnerability, and unwavering support create an environment where healing and joy go hand in hand. It's incredible to witness the bonds that form and the strength our campers find in each other.
This year, I am absolutely thrilled to return to camp, reunite with my wonderful campers, and continue being part of this extraordinary community that means so much to me. So this Giving Tuesday, please consider donating to Camp Kaleidoscope.
Your donation would mean a lot to us! Here is where your donation would go:
$20 - T-shirts for a camper
$50 - Art supplies for rotations
$75 - Dance party decorations
$100 - Unit snacks for a week
$500 - Send a camper to camp
$1000 - Fund a camp carnival
If you can't make a donation at this point, help me reach my goal by sharing this page on any social media platform or with anyone that might be interested in helping us out.
Thank you so much!
With so much love,
Tacocat <3
