Our children, who at camp go by the names Ree (15), and Too Tall (10) have dealt with many difficult and dramatic changes over the past four years. From my cancer diagnosis, chemotherapy, and radiation, to moving across the country with very little notice. Our kids have been thrust into new schools, a different community, and have lost regular contact with their nearest and dearest people, all while watching their dad undergo a transplant, and experience an unexpectedly complex recovery. Camp Kaleidscope (Previously Camp Kesem) was been the one constant in their lives. They have made life long friends, developed a supportive community of fellow campers as well as counselors who walk along side them throughout the year. They started counting the days until camp the day they returned home from last summer's session. We are so grateful for this amazing camp and the Stanford students that run such a worth cause.
