Camp STAR is a unique summer camp experience for children in Michigan's Upper Peninsula who have experienced the death of a parent, grandparent, sibling, or friend. Our dedicated Camp Buddies, young adults aged 18-25, provide one-on-one support, guidance, and friendship to each camper. By sponsoring a Camp Buddy, you'll be directly impacting the life of a child in need.

Here's what your sponsorship will do:

Provide one-on-one support: A Camp Buddy will be paired with a child who shares similar interests, offering constant companionship and understanding.
Foster healing and growth: Camp Buddies will help children develop coping skills, resilience, and a positive outlook on life.
Create lasting memories: Your sponsorship will contribute to a weekend of fun, friendship, and healing at Camp STAR. Many of our Buddies share that participating in Camp is a life changing experience.

Your Impact:

This fundraiser will help cover our largest camp expense - lodging and meals for our Buddies. Our lodging and meals for Buddies are approximately $70 per day, and Buddies are at Camp for 4 days. By sponsoring a Camp Buddy, you're investing in the future of both a child and a young adult. Your generosity will help us provide life-changing experiences for both the Camper and the Buddy.
