The Camp Wharf Firepit at The Wharf has been transformed into Camp WAFF to benefit the Washington Area Fuel Fund. The vintage Airstream trailer serves the treats onsite at the pier and the proceeds benefit neighbors in need.

Through a charitable partnership with The Salvation Army, WAFF helps individuals and families in need pay their energy bills. Since 1983, WAFF has distributed nearly $33 million and helped more than 308,000 individuals, an average of 7,000 to 8,000 households across the DMV, to pay their energy bills during times of hardship—no matter the fuel source, e.g., natural gas, propane gas, electricity, oil, coal, wood, kerosene, etc.

WAFF supports energy solutions that make life go! Cooking, bathing, heating a home, and washing clothes are all necessities that require fuel.
