CAP month Pinwheel Garden
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
The national symbol for child abuse prevention is the Blue Pinwheel, and PCAVT will be planting a large Pinwheel Garden on the State House Lawn as a reminder to our legislators and community that prevention is the very best solution. Our garden will have more than 1,000 pinwheels starting on April 1st.
Please consider donating towards Prevent Child Abuse Vermont's Statehouse Pinwheel Garden with a gift of $100. As a thank you, we will include your name on our Thank You Sign planted on the lawn.
Prevent Child Abuse Vermont (PCAVT) is a private non-profit organization that has served families and children in the state of Vermont for 50 years. At PCAVT, we believe that every child deserves a safe and happy childhood. Through our programs and partnerships, we strive to build a community where all children are protected and supported, where families are empowered and where the cycle of abuse is broken. We do this work with our Family Support Programs, the Healthy Relationships Project (school-based and adult-focused), and Safe Environments for Infants and Toddlers focusing on shaken baby syndrome and infant safe sleep practices. Vermont has become a national leader in child abuse prevention and our work is effective because of support from individuals, corporations and through events like Child Abuse Prevention Month.
