The Kindness Project provides free support to foster families across eastern Pennsylvania by offering essential items for the children and teens in their care. Kids are often placed into foster care with no personal items.

The Kindness Exchange boutique, located in Emmaus, PA, provides newborns to young adults with stylish new or like new clothing, shoes, hygiene items, beds and other key items to help meet their most immediate needs.

Many families travel miles and hours to reach us. To ease their travel expenses, our mobile boutique, The Kindness Express, will be traveling to underserved areas to provide needed items to families across eastern and central PA.

This campaign will allow us to raise needed funds to purchase a Care-A-Van to transport needed supplies and fixtures, as well as volunteers, to fully support The Kindness Express's visits to families. It will also allow us to pick up large donations and deliver furniture and other items that may not be easy for a family to transport from our boutique to their home (bunk beds, dressers, etc.)

Our vision is a community of support for foster families and kids and teens experiencing foster care. In addition to our current services for tangible goods, our Kindness Connections Program offers support for extra-curricular activities (music, swimming, horseback riding, and sports), as well as educational and social family events and support, which allow youth in foster care to have the same opportunities as their peers who are not in foster care.
