United Mustangs of America is built around a living classroom: our herd of eight horses.

These horses make the school possible. They give students the opportunity to learn horsemanship with an actual herd — to observe, handle, care for, ride, solve problems, build confidence, and develop the judgment that comes from working with horses.

And the horses need care every single day, whether students are here or not.

They need a home. Hay and hay cubes. Nutrition and supplements. Hoof care. Veterinary and dental care. Fly protection. Equipment. Clean living spaces. And the countless everyday things that go into keeping a herd healthy and cared for.

For years, Monica has carried much of that responsibility herself, alongside a small group of supporters who have stepped in to help with feed, hay, supplies, and other needs.

Now we're asking our larger community to help carry the herd with us.

What It Takes

$4,099 / month

$49,188 per year — our known recurring baseline

And that is only the recurring baseline. It does not yet include veterinary care, dentistry, vaccines, emergencies, equipment replacement, and other irregular expenses.

That's why we've stopped making the cost invisible. When you choose an amount to give, you'll see what that money can actually provide.

It keeps the living classroom here.

Supporting the herd does more than keep horses fed.

It gives students a place to learn. It gives horses meaningful lives with excellent care. It gives UMA the foundation to continue teaching, developing horsemen, creating clinics and educational experiences, and building a school that can serve both horses and people for years to come.

Student and event registration supports the education we provide. Community support helps carry the herd that makes that education possible.
