It is with extreme sadness that we announce the unexpected death of Casey Blake Ausman on October 6, 2022. Casey was a bright, loving spark in this world and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Casey received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double concentration in sculpture and painting from Southeastern Louisiana University, in Hammond, Louisiana, and a Master of Fine Arts in Fine Arts 3D from Massachusetts College of Art and Design Boston, Massachusetts. Casey had lived in Boston where he worked as a multimedia artist, since 2014.

Casey’s passion for the arts was nurtured through opportunities provided by MassArt, scholarships, and donations. Casey was happiest when he was expressing his unique vision through his art. In an effort to foster other young artists embarking on their artistic paths, we are raising money to create a donation for MassArt students in financial need.
