The reason I am taking on this challenge is like many I have been immediately affected by cancer. As recent as 2019, I was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. This cancer, unlike many others, was quickly removed. Nonetheless, I was immediately struck with thoughts of the worse, as I did not know what it meant or what the protocol would be. I have also seen my father struggle with Luekemia for over 16 years (since July of 2008). Through the last 40 years I've either heard, been alongside or lost family and friends to this terrible disease.
On March 8, 9 and 10 I will embark on a challenge known as the Goggins Challenge. This challenge entails running four miles, every four hours, for forty eight hours. Each mile will be dedicated to someone who has lost this fight, currently fighting or has overcome cancer.
Hopefully my running will help make an impact for all those affected by this horrible disease. Please consider donating and sponsoring a mile.
