I have been a road cyclist for 19 years. Despite a serious cycling accident in 2020, I still continue to ride; as I tell everyone who knows me, it is the one thing that keeps me sane.

The year 2023 was a year of loss due to cancer. I lost my father Pedro Jaime in July of 2023, and my hermano and best friend from law school Luis Torres in December of 2023. I have also become intimately acquainted with cancer survivors, whom I admire deeply. So when I learned of the opportunity to ride and raise funds to defeat this terrible disease, I could not pass on the opportunity.
