As a breast cancer survivor myself since 2021, I feel compelled to join in the movement to do all that I can in support of research, innovation and assistance for cancer patients. I was very fortunate in that, as a result of refined testing and imaging techniques and innovations in radiation administration (where radiation was applied internally directly at the cancer site), my cancer was arrested at an early stage and likely completely eradicated. Nobody ever dreams that cancer will happen to them - I surely did not - but here we are, grateful to still be here. Please forgive me then, for urging all of my friends, on or off Facebook, and anyone else reading this who has been touched by cancer in some way, to join me in fighting the good fight. I am asking for your help in donating whatever you can, no matter how small, towards The Castaways Against Cancer, who, since 2000, have raised millions for groundbreaking cancer research. Every summer, a group of volunteers kayak 160 miles from Miami to Key West, cycle 170 miles, or run to raise money and awareness for cancer research. There can be no cure without the necessary research, and every dollar goes towards the cause. Who knows - you or your loved one could be the next beneficiary of the fruit of their labors.
