The reason I am taking on this challenge is like many I have been immediately affected by cancer. As recent as 2019, I was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. This cancer, unlike many others, was quickly removed. Nonetheless, I was immediately struck with thoughts of the worse, as I did not know what it meant or what the protocol would be. I have also seen my father struggle with Luekemia for over 17 years (since July of 2008). Through the last 43 years I've either heard, been alongside or lost family and friends to this terrible disease.
On March 7th I will embark on a 48 mile journey. I will begin running at 8pm on Friday, March 7th, running four miles, every four hours, for 48 hours. Each mile will be dedicated to a loved one lost, survivor or someone currently battling this horrific disease.
Hopefully my running will help make an impact for all those affected by Cancer and with your support help us to leave the next generation with a cure to this disease. Please consider donating.
