I have always admired the Castaways Against Cancer and the work that they do. Many members were either my teachers or classmates at Columbus High School. I won't be paddling, cycling, or running, but I am providing support from land. However, I am also raising funds in honor of my brother, Lt. Ralf Garcia of City of Miami Fire Rescue. In 2015, he passed away from cancer. He was 28 years old, and his wife was 7 months pregnant with their son, Mason. This is yet another way for his memory to live on.
