This is my 11th year being a Castaway Against Cancer. I first met them the summer of 2013 after my cancer diagnosis and treatment. I was inspired by their passion and dedication for the fight to end cancer, they inspired me to join them. I first paddled with them in 2015 and for the next 9 years joined with them to paddle the keys, a total of 110 miles. Having reached my golden years, I decided last year to do things a little bit different. I walked the length of the keys (107 miles), I did the same thing on a bicycle and then kayaked a total of 110 miles. This year will be the same. I dedicate my trip this year to my big brother Joe who is currently dealing with lung cancer treatment.
