My name is Sara, and on April 22nd, I am embarking on a 2,650-mile journey along the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT)—a trail stretching from Mexico to Canada. This isn’t just a personal adventure, but a mission to give back to a cause that shaped my life.

As a childhood cancer survivor, I know the challenges that young children and their families face. I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) as a child, and while I was fortunate to receive treatment and recover, the journey was anything but easy for my family. The support my family and I received during that time was life-changing, and now I want to give that same hope and strength to other children battling cancer.

As much as this thru-hike is one of my personal life goals, I will also be dedicating this thru-hike to raising funds for the Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern California, an organization that provides vital resources, emotional support, and financial assistance to families affected by childhood cancer. Every mile I hike is for the kids still fighting, for the survivors, and for the families who need hope.

My goal is to raise $2,650. One dollar for every mile walked. Your donation, no matter the amount, will help provide essential services like support groups, financial relief, and events that bring joy to children undergoing treatment. I’ve always believed that nature has the power to heal, inspire, and transform us, and it’s this belief that drives me to turn my passion for adventure into a force for good.

I’ll be documenting my journey through the highs and lows of the PCT, sharing stories from the trail, and reminding the world that every step matters.
