Canton Community Nursery School (CCNS) is a non-profit organization that was chartered in 1969 by a group of enthusiastic Canton residents who wanted to provide a quality preschool program. 52 years later, we continue to thrive with support from the wonderful families and friends of our students.

Through the years, the school has created a program that fosters connection. Teacher-child relationships are at the heart of its curriculum and daily interactions; parent participation in class and special events creates a link between home and school; and regular visits with local businesses, organizations, and public spaces help develop a sense of belonging in the surrounding community.

In over half a century, we had only three directors, showing the commitment and community surrounding the school. Generations of families send their children to CCNS to experience the same nurturing program they experienced as children. This year especially, we couldn't be prouder of how the community has come together, with parent volunteers and dedicated teachers leading the charge. In a year of transition, we want to ensure that CCNS's fundamental principles hold strong in years to come.

Because of the pandemic, we've had to cancel many of our standard fundraising events, including a 50th anniversary event we'd planned to host in 2020. That's why we're asking you to support the CCNS community in whatever way you can. All of your donations will go directly to the school's general fund, which will help offer competitive wages for teachers, purchase materials for the classroom, and create enrichment opportunities for the children.
