We are all so proud of what we have accomplished and so grateful to everyone who has supported us and continues to support us.
In rescue, everything is an emergency, nothing ever goes according to plan, and if there is a plan, it will surely change. There are many moving pieces, like foster care, medical care, transport to and from the veterinarians, medicine, and health records, and that doesn't even include when the felines in our care get sick! We are foster care-only, so we tend to take in mostly kittens. While kittens are adorable and sweet, they are the most expensive because they are fragile and more susceptible to sickness. When one gets sick, the entire litter gets it and must be treated.
Unfortunately, our fees do not cover the costs of each cat and kitten. We lose money on every adoption, and sick kittens get expensive quickly. Money is necessary to achieve our goals, and we need more of it to support our mission of finding loving homes for cats in need.
Please consider Coastal Cat Rescue when making your charitable donations this year. No amount is too small, but bigger is always better, so we can build a nest egg that supports continued, sustainable growth. We would love it if you considered a recurring donation, as one of our most significant issues right now is our lack of predicted fundraising dollars, which is making it hard for us to plan for the future.
We have recently started using Givebutter to fundraise because it allows us to accept recurring donations and gives donors the option to cover our processing fees. We'd appreciate it if you donated through Givebutter (and covered the fees!), but we also have other donation options on our website: https://www.coastalcatrescue.org/giving.
Reminder: Donations to Coastal Cat Rescue are tax-deductible, and donation receipts are provided by Givebutter. Your generous contribution helps us pay for medical supplies, veterinary care, food, litter, and other supplies. As an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue, we are not paid any salaries, so every dollar goes directly to the cats and kittens in our care!
