Emergency Assistance Matching Grant:

Every day, someone, often multiple people, walks through our doors seeking help.

• A flat tire that means they can’t get to work.

• A small gap in rent that could mean eviction.

• Advocacy to prevent a utility shut-off.

• An unexpected expense that threatens stability.

These are what we call “ordinary emergencies.” But for those we serve, they are anything but ordinary and often create a financial crisis.

At Catholic Charities, we work hard to walk with our neighbors through these crises stabilizing situations before they spiral. Helping them to just get through to the next day. Now, you have an opportunity to make twice the impact!

A generous donor has offered us a $5,000 Emergency Assistance Challenge. Every new dollar raised between March 1, 2026 and June 30, 2026 will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000.

That means:

• A $50 gift becomes $100.

• A $250 gift becomes $500.

• A $1,000 gift becomes $2,000.
