Yet too many—especially Black, Indigenous, and families of color—continue to face higher risks, poorer outcomes, and barriers to culturally-relevant care.

At Community Doula Alliance (CDA), we are actively changing that.

We train and support community-based doulas who reflect the cultures, languages, and lived experiences of the families they serve—because care is more effective when it is trusted, familiar, and affirming.

This isn’t just about birth.
It’s about equity, dignity, and ensuring families are not navigating one of life’s most vulnerable moments alone.

Across our communities, families are navigating systems that were not designed with them in mind. Doulas help bridge that gap—offering emotional, physical, and informational support that improves outcomes and strengthens family experiences.
