Iron County has experienced flooding at levels not seen in generations. Scores of families and businesses in Iron County experienced significant loss, with many being displaced from their homes.

It has become clear that most of the damage to homes and the loss of personal property will not be covered by insurance. As a result, many families have experienced a devastating financial loss.

Given the immense need of many community members, the Dixie and Anne Leavitt Family Foundation (DALFF), Leavitt Group Enterprises (LGE), the Cedar Area Interfaith Alliance, and the Cedar City Area Chamber of Commerce are joining together to organize a fundraising effort. DALFF, LGE and its employees have already committed $300,000 to this effort. It is our hope that an additional $100,000 can be raised through additional avenues. 100% of the funds raised will be distributed to families and individuals through the faith communities in Iron County.

UPDATE: Thanks to all who have donated so far. We are thrilled to have achieved the $100,000 goal. We have amended the goal to a stretch goal of $125,000. The fundraiser began prior to the Enoch floods, which added dramatically more to the losses in our valley. We ask that you consider supporting this worthy effort!!

UPDATE 2.0: We hit the stretch goal!! Thank you to all who have contributed! We have moved the goal up to $150,000 to stretch yet again. Let's keep it going! Early indications are that the losses in Cedar City and Enoch that are uncovered by insurance exceeds $15,000,000. Please continue to give so that we can assist these families as they rebuild.
