The Picnic Project was near and dear to Freddy’s heart and the feeling was mutual.

He believed strongly in the Picnic Project’s mission. He spent Thursday mornings packaging food alongside other volunteers who quickly became friends. When the volunteer work was finished, they would sit down to share a meal and conversation.

Freddy was known as the ‘bike man,’ bringing in dozens of bikes to be distributed to folks needing help with transportation. It was a rare Friday that he would not appear with another bike to donate.

Freddy will be missed at the Picnic Project but not forgotten…in the words of Ryan Bozeman, “In the time you have been here, you have stolen everyone’s hearts.”
