CERT Rodeo

When disasters occur, trained CERT volunteers are the lifeline for your community until first responders arrive.  Doing the Greatest Good for the Greatest Number of People – that is the objective of CERT volunteers. Your support for this year’s CERT Rodeo through your sponsorship and donation will help CERT volunteers continue to practice their skills and be prepared when the community needs their services.

Harris and surrounding counties have over 64,800 trained CERT members.  Before, during, and after recent extreme weather events, members used their training to prepare and protect themselves, their families, and their community. CERT members were then able to help first-responders, emergency management personnel, and communities throughout the region. Recent examples include response to Wind Event Derecho and Hurricane Beryl, Other events our CERT volunteers support of First Responders and Law Enforcement Officers Memorials, Mentors and Evaluators for Teen CERT Programs, Regional CERT Drills, Full Scale Exercises, Regional Hurricane Outreach Events, Fire/Safety/Health Fairs, the Bike MS: Texas 150 Cycling event, Chevron Houston Marathon, “Houston Salutes American Heroes Veterans Day Celebration”, and the CAF Wings Over Houston Airshow.
