When you give to the VFW, you can rest easy knowing your support is making a positive impact in the lives of veterans, service members and their families.

The VFW operates as an independent, nonprofit organization and therefore relies on the generosity of patriotic Americans — like you — to ensure we’re able to provide much-needed support to those who deserve it most. At the VFW, $ 0.72 of every dollar goes directly to veterans programs.

Your dollar helps us do things like:

Recoup $13 billion from the VA for veterans in disability compensation and pension benefits in fiscal year 2023.
Last year, we awarded more than $1.6 million in academic scholarships to nearly 400 veterans and service members.
Distribute more than $589,000 in financial assistance in 2023 to military families to help cover basic needs in times of crisis.
In 2023, we hosted nearly 153,000 service members and their families at Military Assistance Program (MAP) events.
