CHAMP1 disorder is a rare genetic condition. A change in the CHAMP1 gene affects how the brain develops, so it shows up in learning, movement and speech. It was first described in 2015, and there is no treatment yet.

The CHAMP1 Research Foundation was started by parents in 2018 and is run by volunteers. Every gift goes to its research fund, which pays for work toward a treatment, such as gene therapy.
