Chaplain Kris Cruz is an ordained chaplain based in the DFW area of Texas. He serves North Texas by walking with men and young people inside TDCJ adult and TJJD juvenile facilities, and with families navigating grief and crisis.

Through his ministry, Chaplain Kris walks with people in their hardest seasons — behind the walls and in living rooms. He is not here to fix anyone. He offers deep listening, prayer, Scripture, and the hope of Christ, reminding every person they are not forgotten by God.

Ordained in 2026 through Christian Chaplains & Coaching and holding a certification in Christian Ministry to the Incarcerated (plus training in chaplaincy, Christian counseling, and grief care), his approach is rooted in relationship first and presence before programs.

His work focuses on:

Facility Ministry — Spiritual care in TJJD juvenile and TDCJ adult facilities, including pastoral visits, small groups, reentry support, and Kairos Torch youth mentoring.
Family Support — Free grief resources, prayer, and pastoral presence for families walking through loss, crisis, or the weight of a loved one being incarcerated.
