Support artists of the global majority at Checkmark Productions!

Checkmark Productions was founded in 2017 by Cristina Angeles to create a home for the artists used to "check a box” across the arts and entertainment industry.

This Summer, Checkmark is producing our second, annual Summer Reading Series  of three new plays written and directed by artists of the global majority. Our reading series

• Provides each project with rehearsal space, casting resources, and dramaturgical support, culminating in a public facing, industry presentation.
• Pays every artist involved $26/hour to model both equitable and community driven methods of new work development for the industry at large.

Since the pandemic, resources for new work development have been slashed industry-wide, making Checkmark’s mission - to create a home for artists of the global majority to tell their stories while earning an equitable wage - more critical than ever. Join us!
