Checkmark Productions was founded in 2017 by Cristina Angeles to create a home for the artists used to "check a box” across the arts and entertainment industry.

This Summer, Checkmark is reopening with reading series of three new plays written and directed by artists of the global majority. Our reading series 

• Provides each project with 29 hours of rehearsal culminating in a public facing, industry presentation.
• Pays every artist involved the New York City Living Wage of $26/hour.

Since the pandemic, resources for new work development have been slashed industry-wide, making Checkmark’s mission - to create a home for artists of the global majority to tell their stories while earning a living wage - more critical than ever. Join us!
