Join the Chess Club with US Life Master and FIDE Trainer Lou Mercuri!

This 6 week course starts on April 3rd and runs from 3:45 - 4:45 pm on Fridays. Students will have 5-6 hours of chess play throughout the duration of the course. No prior experience is needed.

Program Details:

• Runs for 6 weeks, from 04/03 to 05/22  (no class on 04/24; 05/01)
  - 1 hour class running from 3:45 to 4:45
  - Cost is $85 per student
  - Space is limited to 24 students.
  - Only, available to students in grades 1 to 4.
  
  

• We will need 2 parent volunteers to successfully run the program. The parent volunteer will be comped 1 student's fee for the course if they commit to volunteering through the 6 classes.

Please note that the last class will run for roughly 2 hours where the instructor Lou will play all the kids simultaneously and celebrate with a pizza party!.

About Lou Mercuri-

Lou is a US Life Master and who’s rating has peaked at 2404 (Senior Master). He once defeated World Champion Karpov in a simultaneous exhibition at Harvard University in 1990. Lou was awarded the International Title of FIDE Trainer 2006. He is among the first chess trainers in the United States to be awarded this title by FIDE, the International Chess Organization.
His teaching is emphasized on the enjoyment of learning and giving back what he has learned to others.
