Sunny: A Little Girl with a Big View of the World

Sunny's story began on the doorstep of a resident in Newark, New Jersey, where she was found in need of help. Thankfully, she didn't have to face her uncertain future alone.

Through the efforts of several incredible people, including our friend, volunteer, and animal rights activist Michele Granberg, Sunny received the veterinary care she needed and was fully vetted before making her way to Layla's Rescue Ranch. Thanks to everyone who stepped up for her, Sunny went from an unexpected doorstep discovery to a safe and loving sanctuary where she could join her very own little flock.

Sunny has made herself right at home!

She is incredibly social and loves being around people. In fact, if you're holding her, don't be surprised if she decides that your head is the perfect place to perch. From up there, she gets the best possible view of everything happening around the sanctuary!

Sunny's playful personality and love for human attention make her a joy to have at the ranch. She now gets to spend her days surrounded by her flock, exploring her sanctuary home, and soaking up all the attention she can get.

From a doorstep in Newark to a forever home at Layla's Rescue Ranch, Sunny's journey is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to save a life.
