Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®-Omicron Eta Omega Chapter

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is the first intercollegiate Greek-lettered organization established by 20 African-American college women. The organization was founded in 1908 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Omicron Eta Omega Chapter was established in 1984 for graduate members in the St. Louis metropolitan area. With over 180 members, the chapter carries out the sorority’s international platform of ‘Soaring to Greater Heights of Sisterhood and Service’, through community programming and providing scholarships focused on five program initiatives.

Our Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack (CHIPP) program provides weekend and holiday meals for children within local communities. The program is intended to help those children whose families find it difficult to access enough food for the entire month. Forty-Five percent of low-income families experience food insecurity.
