I love my adopted state of Connecticut, but I hate its racial and income segregation. Connecticut is one of the wealthiest states in the US, but has some of the poorest cities, with segregation rates and education achievement gaps that rival those of the deep South. OCA is doing cutting-edge work to address this inequality: fighting for zoning reform; making sure housing subsidies don't keep people in the lowest opportunity parts of the state; and shining a light on the causes and costs of Connecticut's housing crisis. I serve on the board of OCA, and it’s my biggest donation each year.
