COVID-19 is threatening to amplify the inequalities faced by women worldwide and has exacerbated issues women face, including increased domestic and gender-based violence and trafficking. In addition to combating the pandemic, GoPhil partners and their leaders are committed to accelerating gender equality and addressing new barriers that have emerged due to the pandemic.

Starting on International Women’s Day and throughout the entirety of March, GoPhil will celebrate the achievements of women leaders as they continue to #ChooseToChallenge fearlessly, despite the challenges they face everyday.

Join us as we share incredible stories of leadership and courage from partner programs!

Here is how you can take action to help our partners forge an inclusive and gender equal world:

1- FOLLOW and SHARE the incredible stories of female leaders from our partners on social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)

2- DONATE or START A FUNDRAISER to help us achieve our goal of raising $5,000 to support our partners as they continue to empower women and girls in their communities and address the issues around gender inequality. Your donation will help us meet urgent funding gaps for our partners and can enable:

Blue Dragon to rescue and safely return one young woman who has been trafficked from her home in Vietnam to China for forced marriage.
Aula Magica to provide their essential nutrition program for pre-school children from indigenous communities in Guatemala.
Equal Community Foundation to work with boys to tackle gender-based violence in their communities in India.
