The Hermosa Beach Friends of the Library (HBFoL) is raising our 2024 Annual Fund to support our continued impact in Hermosa Beach and the community we serve.

Who is HBFoL?

The Hermosa Beach Friends of the Library (HBFoL) has served Hermosa Beach for 65 years. Our 501(c)(3) public charity is led by a passionate group dedicated to fostering a love of reading and making our library resources accessible to all.

As a nonprofit organization, the Hermosa Beach Friends of the Library (HBFoL) relies on the generous support of our community to promote literacy and a lifelong love of reading. By becoming an annual member, your tax-deductible donation will directly benefit innovative programs that enrich Hermosa Beach and the surrounding areas.

This year, your contribution will help fund:

Expanding the reach of our programs, which include establishing Little Free Libraries across our community, expanding the presence of the LA County Bookmark Program in Hermosa Beach, and supporting the agency and independence of our Library and its staff;
Expanding our nonprofit bookstore, which receives thousands of donated books each month, and is supported by a dedicated team that helps every member of the community feel welcome and find a great read;
Developing new partnerships with other organizations in the community to amplify our efforts and increase access to reading, literacy, and education, and enthusiasm for books and reading culture, all across Hermosa.
