City to Saddle is a no cost field trip that gives 450 local Colorado Springs 6th graders a hands-on introduction to the Western way of life and it’s values: honesty, hard work, and integrity.

Students will rotate through a half-day of interactive stations, tentatively including:

Horse Care
Roping Dummies
Line Dancing
Western History
Horse Shoeing
Leatherworks
Hat Shaping
Agriculture/Ranching
El Paso County Mounted Unit
Horse Therapy

Your support provides:

Transportation to/from Norris Penrose Event Center
Western goodie bags for every student
Vouchers so attending students and their families can visit the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame for free
Event stations for the students to learn about 250 years of Western heritage

Any and all donations help us fund this field trip and teach the newest generations of Colorado Springs how our community was founded and the values that grew it to what it is today.
