Literacy Alliance provides access to an array of services that address adult, family, and early literacy. Our programming includes adult literacy classes, individualized support for pre-k students, and parent education workshops to promote basic literacy skill development.

Literacy Alliance has served the Chattahoochee Valley, specifically Columbus, GA, since 1991. In 2000, Columbus became Georgia’s first Certified Literate Community. With this designation, Literacy Alliance continued to meet the educational needs of under-educated and illiterate adults in the community. In 2001, the program expanded its focus to include K-12 literacy programming and parent education.
